Mysuru, October 28:- Arogya Bharati and Apoorva Sneha Balaga distributed 500 different types of herbal plants at Chamundipuram in the city to mark Ayurveda Day on Wednesday (October 28). The idea was to spread awareness among the public on Ayurveda.
Talking on the occasion, Dr Chandrashekar said, “Ayurveda is one of the oldest methods of treatment. The food that we consume also has a lot of medicinal values. But what we are eating today has changed a lot. We need to feed our children with greens and leafy vegetables and make them understand the importance of herbs.”
Senior social worker Dr K Raghuram Vajpayee said, “Ayurveda can be used for treatment of coronavirus and it helps us develop immunity. Allopathy is not the solution for all the diseases. From childhood, we need to consume millets and vegetables.”
MCC councillor M V Prasad said, “We are planning to plant some herbal plants in one of the gardens an call it Ayurveda Garden. This is going to be a new experiment.”
Hotel Owners’ Association president Narayana Gowda, Apoorva Sneha Balaga’s president Apoorva Suresh, Dr Arunachala, Dr Shenoy, District Brahmins’ Association president D T Prakash, Jeevadhara Blood Camp director Girish, Krishnarajendra Sahakari Bank vice president Basavaraj Basappa, Shashi, Sumanth Shastri and others were present.
