Higher use of technology diminishes human values: Educationist Puttabasavegowda

Mysuru, June 21:- “With the increased use of technology humanitarian values are diminishing in the society,” opined secretary of Kaginele Education Institution, M Puttabasavegowda.

He was speaking at a state-level Debate Competition organised in memory of Rajashekar Koti and Girish Karnad at Sri Kaginele Mahasamsthana Kanaka Gurupeetha Education Institution here on Thursday.

“Our aim is to provide education to all. We need to give emphasis to education to progress,” he added.

“Writing is not given prominence these days because of technology. We get everything on mobile and photocopy. By debating, we can improve our thinking and reasoning abilities. If an accident takes place, instead of helping, people become busy in video-shooting it,” he added.

Principal of the institution Dr Vishalakshi KK, Shivanandapuri seer of Kaginele branch mutt and others were present. (MR/GK)
