Mysuru, October 11:- The activists of Hindu Jagarana Vedike and Vishwa Hindu Parishad staged a protest in the city on Wednesday, condemning the assaults on members of Hindu organisations and the government’s attempts to curb Hindu religious activities in the state.
The protesters who gathered in front of Deputy Commissioner’s office here, alleged that the state government has been deliberately hurting the sentiments of millions of Hindus. Innocent Hindu activists are getting tortured in fake cases, they said.
The activists submitted a memorandum to the Deputy Commissioner to be forwarded to the Karnataka Governor.
Co-convener of District Hindu Jagarana Vedike S Gajendra, zonal organising secretary Ananth Kanyana, secretary Dr Manjunath Singh, treasurer Girish, BJP State Backward Classes wing secretary B M Nataraj, H G Giridhar, D T Raghavendra and others were present.
