Mysuru, September 13:- Any festival is all about sharing one’s happiness with others. In one such example, Hindu and Muslim youths celebrated Gauri-Ganesha festival, organised by Parivarthana Trust in the city on Wednesday.
They had installed an idol of Lord Ganesha at the office of the organisation at Agrahara Circle here. They exchanged pleasantries of Ganesha and Muharram Festivals to spread the message of harmony in the society.
“Hindus and Muslims celebrate several festivals together. This year, Ganesha Festival and Muharram are on the same day. Members of both the communities should celebrate the festival together peacefully. Some miscreants have tried to disturb peace in the society. Both the communities should celebrate festivals together to spread the message of harmony. I am happy to see youths coming together to celebrate Gaur- Ganesha festival,” said seer Elai Alvar of Vengipura Mutt.
