Kallarali Kaleyagi, a photography exhibition of historical monuments of Karnataka was kept for display at Kalamandir, on Friday.
As part of World Photography day, a unique photography exhibition of historical monuments of Karnataka snapped by noted photographer T Kempanna was put on display at Suchitra Art gallery. MLA Vasu inaugurated the photography exhibition.
Vasu said: “Photographs expresses things which are unexplainable and leaves a great impact on the viewers. Kempanna who had earlier worked for the Information department has a great passion over photography and have been one of the inspirational among many enthusiastic photographers. It is happy to know that as part of the World Photography day a great platform has been created by exhibiting photographs of various historical monuments of the state which will help the youngsters to gather information on those monuments and also helps to observe and build photographic sense.”
The exhibition had photographs of famous monuments like Pattadakallu, Madhukeshwari temple, Banavasi Kadamba vastu shilpa, Badami caves, Mysuru Palace, Golgumbaz, Hampi and others. Nearly 40 rare photographs were kept for display at the one-day exhibition which is open for all public.
Joint Director (retired) of Information department K Vijaykumar, internationally acclaimed photographer Thippeswamy and others were present.
