A man aged between 50 and 55 was found dead near Sachchidananda Ashram on Mysuru-Nanjangud road on Thursday morning.
According to sources, the victim was on a morning stroll when he was hit by an unknown vehicle around five in the morning. According to sources, due to foggy conditions, the visibility was poor. This may have led to the accident, said sources. Before the accident was reported, many vehicles had run over the body.
Passersby, who found the body on the road around 7 am, informed the police. Inspector Nagegowda of KR traffic police station visited the spot. The body is yet to be identified and has been shifted to KR Hospital mortuary.
