Home quarantine for Jubilant factory employees at BCM Hostel criticised

Mysuru, March 31:- Coronavirus is rapidly spreading in the district. Nanjangud town has been now announced as the cluster for the virus and has been completely locked down. Nine employees of Jubilant factory in Nanjangud town tested positive for novel coronavirus. As more than 1,000 employees are working in Jubilant factory, they have been kept in home quarantine. It is said that they would be quarantined at BCM Hostel at KHB Colony of Nanjangud. When they came to know about this, residents of the area staged a protest in front of the hostel saying it would lead to community spread of the virus.

Town Municipal Council members SP Mahesh, Yogesh, principal Mahadevaiah, retired ASI Rangaswamy, Govinda Raj, Shivananjaiah and others participated in the protest. All the protesters wore face masks and maintained social distancing. (MR/KS)
