Mysuru, July 10:- The Hotel Owners’ Association feels there should be uniform entry fees throughout the year at Sri Chamarajendra Zoological Gardens in the city.
“The decision of the government to increase the entry fee to Mysuru Zoo on holidays and festivals is not right. Earlier, the entry fee for elders was Rs 60 and Rs 30 for children. The government has increased the price by Rs 20 and Rs 10 respectively. It is unfortunate that the government is also trying to earn money like private institutions. Pricing of battery-run vehicles is also unscientific at the zoo. We can sense mismanagement in animal adoption as well,” said Hotel Owners’ Association president Narayana Gowda at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Tuesday.
“Public shouldn’t feel it is better to avoid zoo on weekends and holidays. The price hike should not be approved,” he added.
