House burglary at Jayanagar

Mysuru, July 7:- A resident of Jayanagar, Appachu filed a police complaint at Ashokapuram police station saying gold and money were stolen from the house when no one was around.

On June 4, their neighbors called them to inform that the door of the house was opened even the family wasn’t home. They rushed back to find belongings of the house being strewn around.

Hanging diamond shape of 4 gram, multi colored stone locket with chain of 13 gram, jomale hangings of about 4 grams, long chain of 25 grams, small chain with locket of 5 gram, bangle of 8 gram, karimani of 3 gram and Rs 25,000 cash were being stolen from the cupboard. The stolen gold estimated to be worth Rs 1.8 lakh. (KS)
