I am not aspiring for a Cabinet berth: BJP MLA L Nagendra

Prime News, Karnataka, Politics, Mysuru, July 29:- I have never lobbied for a Cabinet berth in the past and I don’t believe in doing so. If the party recognises my merit and gives me a ministry, I have no issues, said Bharatiya Janata Party MLA of Chamaraja Constituency L Nagendra here on Thursday (July 29).

Talking to the media here, he said, “We have a system in our party. No one knew Basavaraj Bommai would become the Chief Minister. It was decided by the party’s high command. Party observers came to Bengaluru and made a decision. I am not an aspirant. We only want due representation in the state Cabinet. We have legislators S A Ramadass and B Harshavadhan in the queue. Shankaralingegowda and Harshakumar Gowda were there as MLAs in the past but none of them got any berth. Somehow, there is a strong feeling that the Chamaraja Constituency is jinxed. I hope things will change for the better at least now.” (MR/KS)
