Mysuru, October 17:- Founder of Jaya Karnataka, Muthappa Rai has clarified that he has not joined the Congress Party and not even applied for the membership of the party. There is a strong rumour doing rounds that Rai is joining Congress.
He was speaking to media persons at his Mysuru residence to issue his clarification.
“I will not join politics. Many people have invited me to enter politics. I will support those who are good people. I had gone to Puttur for the inauguration of Jaya Karnataka office. I visited the Congress office near our office. I made an entry in the visitors book at the Congress office. There is no question of joining Congress. I have seen politicians very closely. They don’t do what they promise,” he said.
“I appreciate Prime Minister Narendra Modi. I wish to see him again as the prime minister. India needs a prime minister of Modi’s calibre. I have friends in all parties. I don’t like Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) but I like Modi. He is working for the betterment of the country,” added Rai.
