I will never plead for a Cabinet berth: BJP MLA S A Ramadass

Prime News, Karnataka, Politics, Mysuru, August 10:- Saying he was expecting a Cabinet berth, Krishna Raja Constituency BJP MLA S A Ramadass on Tuesday (August 10) said that he was unlucky to miss it.  “I know the person who is responsible for the situation. In fact, I called him up personally to thank him.”

Ramadass said, “I have never pleaded for a Cabinet berth. But one question will always haunt me. When Congress was in power, there were five ministers and when Janata Dal (Secular) was at the helm, there were five ministers as well. Strangely, we have no one from the Mysuru region when our own party is in power. The common man wants to know if there are no eligible candidates at all. People still remember that I did a good job when I was the minister. I am happy with it.”

The BJP leader said, “I have never cried over what has not been given to me. It was our senior leader and former Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa who had told me that I will be part of the Cabinet. For that matter, even our party state president Nalin Kumar Kateel had spoken in my favour. My name was on the list but it was changed at the last minute. I know who is responsible for it but I will not reveal the name.”

Sounding philosophical, he said, “As a minister, I would have been forced to tour the state. But now, I can concentrate on my constituency to make it a model one.” (MR/SH)
