Mysuru, September 26:- The 7th Airmen Selection office of Bengaluru is organising selection for the Indian Air Force at Chamundi Vihar Stadium at Nazarbad here from December 5 to 11,” said Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar.
He was addressing a meeting regarding the preparations for the event at the DC’s office here on Tuesday.
“The selection will be held for the direct appointment of candidates from Karnataka. Around 75 Indian Air Force officials and staff will be staying in the city from December 3 to 11 and they have to be provided accommodation. Candidates from nine districts will attend the selection rally on December 5. The remaining candidates will attend on December 7. They will attend physical and other tests. Ambulance and emergency medicines will have to be kept ready,” the DC advised.
“Written tests will also be held along with the physical test. Written test will be held at Chamundi Vihar Stadium. The selection is being held only for the candidates from Karnataka. Two staffs from revenue department and education department will be employed for verification of documents,” he said.
“Candidates may arrive in the city a day before the selection and they have to be provided with accommodation at Shikshakara Bhavan or Nanjaraja Bahadur Chatra on Vinobha Road in the city. 1,000 – 1,200 candidates are expected to take part and they have to be provided drinking water and other facilities,” he instructed.
