Health News, Nation, (New Delhi), August 8:-The Indian Medical Association (IMA) on Saturday (August 8) said 196 doctors in the country have succumbed to coronavirus so far. The top doctors’ body also requested Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his attention on issue. This came on the day India recorded more than 60,000 coronavirus cases for the second straight day on Saturday as 61,537 new infections were reported in the last 24 hours, taking the overall case count to 20.88 lakh, according to health ministry data. The death toll in the country increased to 42,518 as 933 deaths were reported in the last one day.
In what can be seen as a further move towards Unlocking, the Union Ministry of Home Affairs has allowed OCI cardholders to enter India who belong to countries with which “air bubble” arrangements have been finalised by the Ministry of Civil Aviation.
