Mysuru, July 28:- A training programme is being held for the women police staff regarding the protection of children from sexual harassment. Superintendent of Police Amit Singh inaugurated the programme here on Friday.
“The image of the Police Department is diminishing in the society. It is unfortunate that we have to bear the criticisms amidst all the good works. Police have to be quick while probing any case. Everyone has to follow their duty without troubling others. POCSO and other such Acts give severe punishment for harassing children and women,” he added.
Principal of Karnataka Police Academy Dr Dharanidevi Malagathi, vice principal P Umesh, S Pushpalatha, L Uma Maheshwara, inspector Nagesh, Ramesh, Mohammed Hashmath Khan, Y P Chandrkala and others were present. (MR/KS).
