Mysuru, January 19:- Samagra Upashamana Centre run by Swamy Vivekananda Youth Movement at the premises of P K Sanitarium was inaugurated on Friday.
“This treatment centre is a temple of care and affection. We are able to walk independently today. But someday we too need some support. Every year, 55 million Indians become poor because of medical expenses. Our constitution has given us the right to medication till death, which is getting denied, unfortunately. The community should be made to participate in medical planning,” said the president of Pallium India, Padmashri Dr M R Rajagopal.
Dr M A Balasubrahmanya explained about the centre and its functioning.
Principal of Mysore Medical College, Dr Dakshayini K R, Guru of NR Groups, TV Manjunath of BSCPL Bengaluru, Dr K A Prahlad of Rotary Midtown and others were present. (MR/SH).
