Mysuru, March 29:- “Our party candidates will contest from 10 constituencies in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections,” said president of Indian New Congress Party (INCP) Ayub Khan at a press meet held at Mysuru Press Club on Thursday.
“For us, the person is more important than party. For that, we have decided to support Janata Dal (Secular) in the elections. Our party candidates will withdraw their nominations from the constituencies where JD(S) candidates are contesting. We will campaign for JD(S) supremo H D Deve Gowda in Tumakuru Constituency on April 5,” he added.
“The statement of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) spokesperson Go Madhusudana on Wednesday has hurt the sentiments of Muslim community. He should apologise for his comments. Or else we will stage intense protest. Neither Pratap Simha of the BJP nor C H Vijayashankar of Congress have done anything for the development of Mysuru – Kodagu Constituency,” said Khan.
