With the Union government ordering banks to use indelible ink on those exchanging Rs 500 and 1000 notes, Mysore Paints and Varnish Ltd (MPVL) is all set to manufacture more ink to meet the huge demand.
On Tuesday, the union government passed a circular to all bank authorities to use indelible ink on those who come for exchange of notes. Following this, the staff at the Mysore Paints and Varnish Ltd (MPVL) which is the only company authorised to manufacture the substance in the country are working overtime to meet the huge demand. Sources said that the government has asked for vials of indelible ink and the production would begin from today.
MPVL has been manufacturing the indelible ink and has been regularly providing it to the Election Commission of India during the elections.
