Independence Day at Acharya Vidya Kula
Independence Day was celebrated at Acharya Vidya Kula recently. Dr Narendraprasad, Head of the Department of History, JSS Women’s College, Mysuru was the guest of honour. Narendraprasad hoisted the national flag and addressed the gathering. He advised students to respect our soldiers and parents to encourage their children to join defense forces if they wished to. He recalled the selfless sacrifice of freedom fighters and asked students to seek inspiration from the lives of these great men.
Students presented the march past, drill exercises, formations by the school band, yogasana display and a skit in Kannada. The skit was a tribute to soldiers. A dance expressing unity in diversity was also performed.
School president, Andal S Charry, Secretary Vijaya Satish, members of the governing board Prof P N Satish and M Govinda Prasad, principal Sarojini B T, vice-principal Sudha M Kumar, staff, students and parents were present.
Independence Day celebrated at Royale Concorde School
Royale Concorde International School celebrated 70th Independence Day in its campus with great patriotic fervour and pomp.
Group Captain Paranan, Chief Administration Officer was the chief guest of the function, hoisted National Flag and inspected the March Past contingents of the school.
He addressed the students and staff about discipline and reiterated that being a disciplined citizen, dedication to one’s own nation is a service by itself.
Managing trustee, Royale Concorde Group of Institutions Chetan Gowda presided the function. Principal, RCIS Prabhavathy, spoke about the significance of the day. Cultural programmes were organised to showcase the talents of students.
