Independence Day celebrated at Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled

Mysuru, August 16:- Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled, run by NR Foundation, celebrated the 72nd Independence Day at the school premises here on Wednesday.

R Mohan, industrialist, graced the occasion as the chief guest along with R Guru and R N Murthy. The tri-colour flag was hoisted by the guests.

The students exhibited drills and presented a march-past. They also rendered patriotic songs on the occasion.

“Celebrating the Independence Day with the students of Ranga Rao Memorial School for Differently Abled has always been a wonderful experience. The enthusiasm, patriotism and liveliness of the students are incredibly contagious; you can feel the energy around them,” said Mohan of Ranga Rao Group of companies.

Murthy said “Education is the only way to help the visually challenged and spread awareness among the people about the biases they face. We are glad to be the enablers here, in bringing about a change in the lives of the children and thereby build a strong future for our country.”

“This has been the most unique Independence Day celebrations at RMSD. The enthusiasm amongst the students is just incredible. We wish to see them grow up to be independent and responsible citizens of the country,” said Guru.

RMSD is the only school in the Karnataka which is exclusively operating for visually challenged girls. With a committed set of teachers and Ranga family members, RMSD has been running successfully for the past 30 years. -KK
