India fares better in containment of Covid-19

Prime News, National and International, Health, Disease, New Delhi, May 19:- India has fared better than other countries in containment of COVID-19. This is mainly because the country pursued a pre-emptive and pro-active approach for prevention, containment and management of COVID-19.

The Health Ministry said “Coronavirus management efforts are being regularly reviewed and monitored at the highest level. Aggressive and early measures so far have shown encouraging results.

The recovery rate has improved to 38.29 percent. India has about 7.1 cases per lakh population vis a vis approximately 60 cases per lakh population for the world as a whole.

In Spain, it is 494 cases per lakh population, in United States of America 431 cases, in Italy 372 cases, in Germany 210 cases, in United Kingdom 361 cases and in France 209 cases per lakh population. (Inputs: Agencies, NGB)
