Mysuru, November 22:- MSW Department of JSS College in the city organised a one-day workshop for the students on “bonding between generations” organised in association with the Ministry of Social Justice, Government of India and Nightingale Medical Trust of Bengaluru.
“The life expectancy of people has increased due to the availability of better medication. The population of senior citizens is increasing due to this. This is also causing a wider generation gap between elders and youngsters. The culture of India teaches us to respect the elders,” said the executive of the college Prof BV Sambashivaiah.
Principal of the college Prof M Mahadevappa, S Somashekar, Dr MP Somashekar, S Basavaraj and others were present. (MR/GK)
