Indian Oil invites entrepreneurs to set up petrol stations

Prime News, Nation, (Mumbai), December 8:-The country’s largest oil major Indian Oil Corporation has invited application from entrepreneurs to set up 35,000 petrol stations pan India.

Indian Oil Corporation considering the huge demand for petroleum products has decides to set up additional petrol pumps to meet the energy demand. Rising per capita income and growing demand for road freight will be one of the key driver over the next 15-20 years.

Process of dealer selection has been simplified in line with the government’s emphasis on ease of doing business. A user friendly on-line application has been introduced and the application form has also been simplified, where only selected candidates would be asked to produce required documents.

Similarly, eligible criteria have also been relaxed. Availability of suitable land at the advertised location or stretch is the most important requirement, but applicants without land can also apply, however, they are expected to offer land when called for.

To ease the process the Indian oil set up help centres at Indian Oil’s 67 Divisional offices in every major town in the country, where company officials will be available on all working days to handhold applications.

Further aspirants advised to visit only official websites for authentic and official information. The company said it has not appointed any agency or person on their behalf for selection or appointment of RO dealers across the country, nor they have authorised any agency/person to solicit any money whatsoever from any candidate at any stage of selection process.
