Indira Canteen burgled in Mysuru; miscreants flee with booty

Mysuru, June 6:- Indira Canteen in Mysuru has become the latest target for the burglars who have robbed cutleries and other accessories by breaking open a canteen in the city.

Indira Canteen launched by Congress government in Karnataka with intent to feed those in need has now caught the attention of thieves from where they have robbed cutleries and other kitchen utensils worth thousands of rupees.

According to a complaint filed by the Manager of Indira Canteen Ramesh, the burglars have gained entry to Indira Canteen premises (MCC Ward 54, Azeez Sait Nagar) between 9:30 pm on June 4 and 6:30 am on June 5 by breaking open the glass door.

The thieves have made away with 8 steel taps, 8 steel ladles, 4 steel vessels and 80 spoons belonging to the canteen. The miscreants have also damaged and threw the CCTV monitor kept inside the canteen.

A case has been registered at Udayagiri Police Station and investigations are on. -(KK)
