Industrialist K V Murthy passes away

Mysuru, April 8:- Well-known industrialist and a great lover of classical music, K V Murthy (90), a resident of Jayalakshmipuram here, passed away on Thursday morning (April 8). He was suffering from an age-related illness. He leaves behind three daughters.

A civil engineer by profession, he worked in Chennai, Mangaluru and Visakhapatnam and helped in building harbours there. Later on, he settled down in Mysuru and started his own business in agrochemicals and coffee decoction.

He worked in Nadabrahma Sangeetha Sabha, JSS Sangeetha Sabha, Tyagaraja Sangeetha Sabha and Vasundhara Performing Arts Centre in different capacities.

Murthy’s final rites were performed at Gokulam’s Chira Shanthidhama. (MR/KS)
