The government has released the input subsidy amount to 52,584 farmers who lost their crops due to scanty rainfall in the district, said Deputy Commissioner D Randeep.
The input subsidy amount has been directly credited to the beneficiaries’ savings account in the banks through Aadhaar cards, disclosed the DC.
However, the input subsidy amount to 25,293 farmers is yet to be credited to their respective bank accounts as their Aadhaar numbers have not been ceded with the bank accounts, he added.
“In Periyapatna, 2179 farmers need to provide their Aadhaar numbers to the banks; in Hunsur 2548 farmers, 3278 farmers in K R Nagar, 4248 farmers in Mysuru, 6279 farmers in H D Kote; 5862 in Nanjangud and 899 farmers in T Narasipur.”
The beneficiaries who haven’t submitted their Aadhaar ID numbers should approach their banks and provide their Aadhaar numbers and inform the same to village accountants and revenue inspectors before March 26. The farmers who do not provide their Aadhaar numbers within the stipulated time to the banks will forfeit the input subsidy amount, said DC Randeep. –SN, NGB
