Mysuru, July 11:- “Along with intelligence, commitment and patience are also important for a candidate to face competitive examinations,” said Deputy Commissioner Abhiram G Sankar.
He was speaking after inaugurating IAS, KAS and other competitive examinations’ training programme organised by Jnana Bhuthi organisation at Lakshmipuram Government High School and PU College here on Wednesday.
“In addition to knowledge, analysing the issues are also important to face the competitive exams. Have knowledge about the current affairs from the past 7 years at least. You have to read newspapers regularly along with the editorial page. It will help improve your knowledge on various issues. You have to write analytical answers for the questions. The candidate should know his strengths and weakness. Then only you can achieve and answer the questions in the given time. UPSC exams may not be held in the present format in the coming days as the examination may be held in the formats of foreign countries,” he added.
Prof Rajendra Prasad of Vidyavardhaka Engineering College, YN Shankare Gowda of Vishwaprajna Institutions, Jainahalli Sathyanarayana Gowda of Jnana Bhuthi organisation and others were present. (SH, NGB)
