Mysuru, January 17:- Hotel Owners’ Association in association with the Hotel Owners’ Charitable Trust organised an interaction and awareness programme on Provident Fund (PF) for the working class people at Dr Jagannath Shenoy Auditorium here on Wednesday.
“If more than 18 employees work in an organisation, they should be provided with PF. The central government provides 8.4%, the firm owners have to give 3.6% and 12% will be collected from employees. The amount will be returned to the employees in the form of pension after retirement,” said Manoj Prabhu of the Department of PF.
“Applying for PF has been made easier, and it can be now applied online. If the PF holder dies, the amount will be given to the nominee,” he added.
PF enforcement officer Anand, technical head S Sampath, President of the association Narayana Gowda, vice president N S Gopalakrishna and others were present.
