Mysuru, November 14:- St. Philomena’s College is organizing an International Conference on ‘Knowledge Partnerships to Advance UN Sustainable Development Goals’ on 17th and 18th of November in collaboration with Asia Cooperation Dialogue(ACD) University Network (ACD is a Pan-Asia Forum), SIAM University, Thailand, Chulalongkorn University Global Network(CGN), Thailand, Transdisciplinary University, Bengaluru and The Sustainability Platform (TSP) India.
The conference is aimed to explore knowledge partnership and cooperation between UN system and institutions of higher learning especially in the Asia-Pacific region. A curtain raiser event is organized on 16th November at 6.00PM in the College Indoor Stadium.
Dr Pornchai Mongkhonvanit, President of SIAM University, Bangkok, Thailand, Dr John Arul Philip, Dean of Education and Cognitive Science , Director of Asia Centre of e-learning (ACE) and Ae University, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Dr, Wooday. P Krishna, Chairman, Gandhi Peace Foundation will be the Guests of Honor. Dr Ravikant Joshi, Team Leader (TSGNULM)-Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India, Dr Sukumrarn Nair, Chairman, PSRIAB, Government of India, Dr Bala Pisupati, Chairman, Conservation Governance, TDU, Bengaluru are the invited Speakers.
Bishop of Mysore, Rt. Rev Dr KA William will be presiding over the function. The formal inauguration and Conference opening will be held on 17th November, 2017 at 9:30 AM in the same venue. Krongkanit Rakcharoen, Royal Thai Consul-General, Chennai will be the guest of honor. This will be followed by Keynote address and plenary session by experts and later parallel workshops on SDGs.
The valediction will on 18th November, at 3:30PM. Dr K Ganapathy, President, Apollo Telemedicine Networking Foundation of India will deliver the Valedictory address. Dr Manju Reddy, Neutro Scientist, Los Angles, USA and founder President, Arodhum Foundation will be presiding over the function said a press release.
