International symposium held at NIEIT

NIE Institute of Technology had organized its first international symposium on ‘smart grid technologies: recent initiatives, challenges and opportunities’ on of January 27 and 28 at its campus.

The inaugural program of the event on January 27 at 10:00 am was presided over by S L Ramachandra, hon. director and former secretary – NIE Group of Institutions, in presence of G S Ramachandra, hon. secretary – NIE Group of Institutions and Dr T Ananthapadmanabha, Principal, NIE IT.

The chief guests of the program, Dr H P Khincha, former vice chancellor, VTU-Belagavi inaugurated the symposium by lighting the lamp with other dignitaries and delivered the key note address. The chief guest of the program, Dr Karisidappa, hon. vice chancellor, VTU-Belagavi released the proceedings of the symposium and addressed the gathering.

The guests of honor of the program, Dr H Nagesh, Director (Transmission) KPTCL-Bengaluru and Dr W M Shivakumar, MD KAVIKA-Bengaluru addressed the gathering in the presence of the other guests of honor on the dais, Dr Ashoka K S Bhat, Professor, University of Victoria, Canada, Dr Manoj Kumar H Pujar, CE, TZ, KPTCL-Tumakuru, Dr A N Jayaraju, President KEBEA & Director of KPTCL & ESCOMs, Dr Ramesh Agrahara, of Kaynes Technology-Mysuru, Dr K Balaraman, Vice-Chair, IEEE PES-Bengaluru and Prof T Ramakrishna, Chair Professor-MHRD and NLSIU-Bengaluru.
