
Mysuru, March 2:- A marathon, ‘Run for Wild’ was organised by ATME College of Engineering of the city on Sunday to create awareness to protect wildlife.
Titular king of Mysuru Yaduveer Krishnadatta Chamaraja Wadiyar flagged off the marathon from Kote Anjaneyaswamy Temple near the north gate of Mysuru Palace.
“Run for the Wild marathon is being organised to protect the wildlife. It is our responsibility to protect biodiversity in India. It has become a greater challenge to protect wildlife. Deforestation is the major reason behind the extinction of wildlife. We have a good forest in Mysuru region, which we should protect” he said.
Hundreds of youths took part in the marathon. (MR/KS)
