It’s children’s day out at zoo and exhibition

Mysuru, November 14:- It was a day of fun for children from different schools in the city, thanks to Children’s Day. Thousands of children thronged the Chamarajendra Zoological Garden (Mysuru Zoo) and Mysuru exhibition as the entry for the children was free to mark the occasion.

It was a children’s day out at both the venues and many schoolchildren had come in groups, accompanied by their teachers. The Karnataka Exhibition Authority and Zoo Authority of Karnataka had announced free entry to children well in advance and the response was spontaneous. The entry was free up to 1:30 pm at both the venues.

Department of child and women welfare conducted various competitions at the exhibition premises. Students enthusiastically participated in fancy dress competition and dressed themselves as Kittu Rani Chennamma, Subash Chandra Bose, Dr B R Ambedkar and many other prominent freedom fighters.
