Pulling down the curtains to several rumours, former minister Srinivas Prasad finally made an official statement on Saturday that he is joining the BJP.
Addressing the media in Bengaluru, Prasad said that he has taken decision of his last political days with lots of self-esteem. “Veteran BJP leader B S Yeddyurappa has invited me to join his party with lots of love and fondness. I have merely accepted the invitation and will be officially join the BJP on January 2 in the presence of top leaders of the BJP,” he said.
Meanwhile, BSY too expressed joy over Prasad joining the BJP. He said that the inclusion will give mighty strength to the party. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has already started worrying since the news broke out. Without any doubt, Prasad will contest from Nanjangud constituency and will win with a big margin, he said.
Yeddyurappa, former minister S A Ramdas and Mallikarjunappa visited Prasad’s residence in Dollar’s Colony, Bengaluru before sealing the deal.
