J-K: People’s Conference Chief Sajad Lone freed from detention

Political News, Nation, (Kashmir), July 31:-People’s Conference Chief Sajad Lone on Friday said that he had been released from house arrest just five days before the completion of a year, since he was detained after the abrogation of article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

“Finally 5 days short of a year I have been officially informed that I am a free man. So much has changed. So have I. Jail was not a new experience. Earlier ones were harsh with usual doses of physical torture. But this was psychologically draining. Much to share hopefully soon,” Lone tweeted.
On 5 August 2019, the Indian Government, revoked the special status, or limited autonomy, granted under Article 370 of the Indian Constitution to Jammu and Kashmir.
