The founder of JP Group of companies and industrialist J P Narayanaswamy (66) died on Thursday after prolonged illness.
J P Narayanaswamy, known as JP by his close aids, was a native of Tumakuru and was the president of Karnataka Arya Edigara Sangha since 2002. He was also servicing as the vice chairman of Sri Devaraj Urs Education Trust in Kolar besides being a trustee of Jalappa Academy.
Narayanaswamy was a close aide of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and former prime minister H D Deve Gowda who offered their last respects on Thursday. The mortal remains of Narayanaswamy has been kept at his house in Sadashivanagar and will be cremated on Friday evening near Nelamangala.
