The national Jambori programme is returning to Karnataka after 33 years for its 17th edition. The programme should be remembered as an unforgettable event, said Bharath Scouts and Guides state commissioner P G R Sindhia.
Speaking at the preliminary meeting conducted at the DC office, he said that ‘Jambori’ will take place from December 29 to January 4 from 6am to 10pm every day. Art forms from across the country will be displayed during the programme, he said.
More than 25,ooo scouts students are expected to take part in the programme. Events such as plane ride, army activities by BSF, war weapons training by HAL, programmes by Kannada and culture department, agriculture department, silk department, exhibitions and programme By ISRO are some of the main attractions of Jambori, he added.
In order to provide potable water, transportation, and shelter to the invites and students, we need more volunteers, added.
