Mysuru: Karnataka Water Resources Minister Ramesh Jarkiholi’s sex-for-job CD has taken the political circles by storm. BJP leaders are at a loss for words to defend their colleague’s alleged sex scandal.
Industries Minister Jagadish Shettar and C P Yogeshwar, who are in Mysuru, visited Suttur Branch Mutt on Wednesday and took blessings from seer Shivaratri Deshikendra Swami. Karnataka State Tourism Development Board chairman Shruthi Krishna was also present on the occasion.
Reacting to the CD scandal, Shettar said, “Jarkiholi says he is not guilty. A thorough investigation needs to be ordered into the whole issue. Only after the truth comes out, we can react. We have to wait and see if Jarkiholi is going to meet Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa. We are going to discuss the whole issue with him.”
On his part, Yogeshwar said, “I think this is a political conspiracy. Jarkiholi is a god-fearing man and is a man of principles. I doubt if he could have done this. I am still in Mysuru and I don’t know what is happening there. Let us wait for the truth to come out. I still stand by Jarkiholi.” (MR/KS).
