Jayachandra Raju conferred honorary doctorate by International Global Peace University

Mysuru, November 18:- Jayachandra Raju, chairman of Global Education Trust,  Mysuru, who has served in the United Nations Department of Peacekeeping Operations as Aviation Specialist in various countries for the past 24 years has been conferred with honorary doctorate by the International Global Peace University (IGPU) for his dedication to global peacekeeping, environment protection and social service. The doctorate was presented at the award ceremony of the International Achievers Council in Puducherry. The ceremony was attended by the director of IGPU, chairman of Peace of World Organisation and director of Indo Asian Academy.

Hailing from a humble family, Raju progressively qualified with Diploma in Telecommunication Engineering, Diploma in Management, BCom, Diploma in Aviation Management, aviation-related courses in Singapore, France, South Africa, Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya and United Nations courses in Peacekeeping and Conflict Resolution, Humanitarian Relief Operations, Logistic Support Operations, Ethics in Peacekeeping, International Humanitarian Law and Law of Armed Conflict.

After serving the Indian Aviation Industry (Hindustan Aeronautics in Bengaluru) for more than 15 years, he joined the United Nations as an Aviation Specialist in 1996 and has served in various conflict-ridden countries of the world. He continues his dedicated service to peacekeeping, environment protection, social service and holistic education to the younger generation with the universal core values of integrity, professionalism, respect to diversity and natural human values.
