Prime News, Karnataka, Health, Mysuru, December 28:- Jeevadhara Blood Bank on New Sayaji Rao Road in the city released the calendar for the year 2022 which includes the awareness of blood donation printed on it.
Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) chairman H V Rajeev launched the calendar at the MUDA office on JLB Road here on Tuesday (December 28).
Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev said, “Many organisations have worked hard in the last decade to raise awareness among people regarding the importance of blood donation. This awareness programme still needs to be made widespread knowledge for the people. Blood donation camps, which were once limited to only National Cadet Corps (NCC) and National Service Scheme (NSS) cadets, are now being organised to the public too, which is commendable work by organisations, youth wings, and student councils.”
He further added, “Regular blood donation has now become a hobby for young people just like listening to music, taking trips and painting. A big challenge of blood shortage in the medical field has now been solved by these initiative camps.”
MUDA member Lakshmi Devi, Jeevadhara Voluntary Blood Bank director Girish, Vikram Iyengar, Kadakola Jagadish, Ranganath and others were present. (AM/GK)
