Mysuru, June 1:- Circle Inspector of KR Police Station Srinivas called upon the public to join hands to build an addiction-free society.
He was speaking at ‘World No Tobacco Day’ event organised by Arivu at Nanjumalige Circle in the city on Sunday.
“If a person lives without any addictions, he will be healthy. Those who have addictions cannot work up to their ability. No religion supports addictions. It will be harmful to lives,” he said.
“Nowadays, youths are addicted to tobacco products in the name of modernisation. It spoils them physically as well as mentally. The purpose of education is to create healthy and educated citizens. Parents have to be careful in this regard. Lakhs of people lose their lives due to tobacco every year. If youths are willing, they can stay away from addictions,” he added.
