Having successfully completed 3 years, the faculty of life sciences celebrated graduates’ reception to award graduation certificates Sri Rajendra Auditorium, JSS Medical College recently.
On this occasion, 90 graduates (UG and PG) of which 58 students from Namibia received provisional degree certificates.
Chief guest for the ceremony was Deputy Commissioner of Police, Law and Order Dr H T Shekhar who encouraged the students to chase their dreams and put in their best efforts in excelling in their respective fields.
Elizabeth Vanhees, First Secretary (Economics), Violet Hanse, First Secretary (Political), Namibia High Commission were the guests of honour. They explained how the collaboration with JSS University had been more than fruitful and wished all the students a bright future.
Emphasising the importance of studying at JSS, Vanhees said that the Namibian graduating students would be proud representing JSS in Namibia.
Vice chancellor, JSS University Dr B Suresh, presided over the event and congratulated the graduating students by quoting words from late president Dr A P J Abdul Kalam’s Wings of Fire: An Autobiography: “Dream is not that which you see while sleeping it is something that does not let you sleep.” He congratulated the High Commission of Namibia for successfully collaborating and looking forward to enhance the collaboration in the coming years.
