“Making money is the main motto of most of the educational institutions. But JSS Institutions are giving value-based education to the society. The progress of the JSS institution is a matter of pride,” said University of Mysore Vice Chancellor, Prof K S Rangappa.
He was speaking at the welcome programme organised for the first year post-graduate students at the JSS College, B N Road, on Tuesday.
“It is difficult to run education institutions on a service basis. But JSS Arts, Commerce and Science College has 12 post-graduate and 7 research centres. It is on part with any university,” he opined.
“JSS Institutions have well facilitated library, laboratories and experienced lecturers. The institution has created an attractive educational environment and never compromised in terms of quality of education and has set a model for other institutions to drive inspiration from,” he said.
CEO of the college Prof V B Sambashivaiah, Principal Prof M Mahadevappa, head of the department, Commerce, Dr H C Honnappa, Dr M P Somashekhar, head of the department, MSW, lecturers and students were present on the occasion.
