Mysuru, March 30:- As the date for Lok Sabha elections is nearing, the political activities have gained momentum in the city and state. K Harish Gowda, who was the district president of Janata Dal (Secular) is likely to join Congress on Sunday (March 31).
He had contested as a rebel candidate of JD(S) as the party had denied him a ticket for the state Assembly elections. Former chief minister Siddaramaiah has planned to strengthen the Congress party in Chamaraja Constituency.
Harish Gowda is expected to join the Congress with his followers in Bengaluru on Sunday in the presence of Coalition Coordination Committee chairman Siddaramaiah and Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president Dinesh Gundu Rao. (KS, NGB)
