KJ George chairs meeting on revival of Falcon Tyres

Mysuru, February 16:- Ministry of Large and Medium Scale Industry, as part of its initiative to revive the ailing Falcon Tyres Limited in the city, convened a high-level meeting in Bengaluru on Friday.

The joint meeting was chaired by K J George, Minister of Large and Medium Scale Industries, Mysuru District In-charge Minister G T Devegowda and Tourism Minister Sa Ra Mahesh. Concerned departmental officials and employees’ representatives also attended the meeting.

The meeting, which was aimed at discussing the rejuvenation of Falcon Tyres, contemplated several strategies on how the company could be revived as there are around 2,500 employees working in the company. The primary objective of the meeting was to explore how the livelihood of employees could be secured.

Speaking at the meeting, George said, “We will make all-out efforts to revive the company and ensure the livelihood of all employees is protected.”

The minister also took suggestions from the concerned departmental officials and employees representatives on the practical steps that could be implemented for the revival of the organisation. (MR)
