Mysuru, September 18:- Kabini reservoir is receiving good amount of water and needs only three feet water to reach its optimum level.
The reservoir having maximum storage capacity of 2,284 feet has got 2,281 feet of water. The possibilities of releasing water from the reservoir is high any time. People living on the banks of Kapila river have been cautioned on release of excess water. With heavy rains lashing Wayanad district of Kerala, Kabini reservoir received an inflow of 13,000 cusecs. Around 2,000 cusecs of water has been released to the river. The outflow is expected to increase further. (MR/KS).
