Prime News, Karnataka, Water, Mysuru, July 24:- To meet the water demands of Mysuru city from KRS Dam is tough and as such, we need to look to Kabini Reservoir to overcome the problem, opined Mysuru-Kodagu Member of Parliament Pratap Simha here on Saturday (July 24).
A pipeline has been laid to supply 180 MLD of water from Bidaragoodu. At present, only 60 MLD of water is being supplied to Mysuru city. The water supply system needs to be upgraded to reach the expected demand, he has said in his press release.
“Rs 134 crore is needed to complete the project and we expect Mysuru Urban Development Authority (MUDA) to fund the project. If there is a shortage of funds, we shall do it under the Jal Jeevan Mission scheme.” (MR/KS)
