Kannada activists stage protest; condemn Tamil cine actor-politicians’ plea for CMB

Mysuru, April 10:- Mysuru Kannada Vedike activists staged a protest in the city on Tuesday condemning the demand of Tamil cine actor-politicians Rajinikanth and Kamal Hassan to set up Cauvery water Management Board (CMB).

The protesters, who gathered at the premises of CADA office here, opposed the demands made by Tamil Nadu leaders.

“Rajinikanth is trying to emulate former Tamil Nadu chief minister late Jayalalithaa, which doesn’t augur well for him. Instead of politicising the water issue, it should be resolved in a harmonious way. Rajinikanth being a Kannadiga is showing double standard. Inevitably this may force us to ban screening of Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan movies in Karnataka,” said S Balakrishna of the vedike.

Naalabeedhi Ravi, Kalavadi Revanna, Bogadi Siddegowda and others were present. (KS, NGB)
