Kannada actors extend support to rain-ravaged Kodagu District

Bengaluru, August 18:- In view of the flood situation in Kodagu District, Kannada film actors have requested people to extend their support to the flood-affected families.

Actor Sudeep on his twitter handle posted, “I request all my fans associations to please look into what best could be done to the rain-affected areas of Karnataka. This is the best gift u all will be giving me. Please do ur best. These are our people. I also plead the government to do their best.”

Within few hours of his post, fans of actor Sudeep and members of Karnataka Kichcha Sudeepa Fans’ Association (KKSFA) started to collect relief materials. The members tweeted that vehicle carrying 8000 chapathis and relief materials from team NKSFA and KKSFA is leaving Bengaluru.

Challenging Star Darshan Thoogudeepa appealed to his friends, saying, “My prayers are with people of Kodagu. They need our prayers and support as well. Let’s do our best for Kodagu, Support Coorg.”

Hatrick Hero Shivaraj Kumar posted a video on social media, appealing to his fans and people of the state to extend their support to the people reeling under flood in Kodagu.

Many other actors including Ganesh, actress Sruthi Hariharan, Nidhi Subbaiah and Samyukta Hornad posted messages on their social media pages requesting their fans and people to contribute generously to the people reeling under flood in Kodagu. –(KK)
