Kannada Rajyotsava and Constitution Day observed at ATMECE

Mysuru, November 27:- ATME College of Engineering (ATMECE), Mysuru, celebrated the 66th Kannada Rajyotsava and the Constitution Day here on Saturday (November 27).

The event was inaugurated by offering flowers to the portrait of Goddess Bhuvaneshwari. 
Assistant Commissioner of Police (Traffic) S E Gangadharaswamy was the chief guest. Mysuru District Journalists’ Association (MDJA) president S T Ravikumar was also present.
 
Gangadharswamy spoke on the importance of the Constitution Day, traffic rules and regulations to be adhered to by the citizens.
 
Speaking on the occasion, Ravikumar said ” Every Kannadiga must have respect and gratitude towards Kannada ‘Nadu-Nudi.’ It is everyone’s duty to protect our language and soil.”
 
Cultural programmes were held as part of the celebration including students singing a few devotional songs.
 
Deans of the college Dr Govindagowda, Dr Bhagyashree and Dr J Ratnakar, department heads, faculties and students were present. (AM/SH)
