Karnataka Police bag FICCI award

Bengaluru, June 02:- Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI) has recognized Karnataka State Police entry in “Emergency response category initiative Effective Highway Patrolling System” as best initiative in SMART Policing – 2018 and awarded 1st Prize among the other national level participants.

The award ceremony was held at New Delhi on Thursday at FICCI, Federation House, Tansen Marg, New Delhi. Dr M A Saleem, IPS, Addl. Director General of Police, Crime and Technical Services and Commissioner for Traffic and Road Safety, Karnataka received the award.

Vijay Goel, Union Minister for State for Parliamentary Affairs and Statistics and Programme Implementation, gave away the award. G K Pillai, Advisor, FICCI Committee on Home Land Security and former Union Home Secretary, Govt. of India was present.

In the same award function, one more initiative – “Transparent Recruitment Process” – has been adjudged as Best Initiative and recognised with the Special Jury Award. On behalf of Karnataka State Police, Raghavendra Auradkar IPS, Addl. Director General of Police, Recruitment received the Award. This initiative was also guided by Neelmani N Raju IPS, Director General and Inspector General of Police, Karnataka State, Benglauru.

The DG and IGP has congratulated all the officers and staff who were responsible for successfully implementing the initiatives.
